- But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

- And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.”
- Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
- How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called ‘woman,’
Because she was taken out of man.”
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. - But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.
- You shall not oppress any widow or orphan. If you oppress him at all, and if he does cry out to Me, I will assuredly hear his cry; and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.
- A person has joy in an apt answer,
And how delightful is a timely word! - I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
- How much better it is to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
How then could I look at a virgin? - “Come now, and let us debate your case,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They shall become as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool.” - The hand of the diligent will rule,
But the lazy hand will be put to forced labor. - Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
- In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
- For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
- And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?
- Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary. - One who walks with wise people will be wise,
But a companion of fools will suffer harm. - My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
- How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was beneficial, and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
- And let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
- How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- How delightful on the mountains
Are the feet of one who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” - Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy-seven times.”
- But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him?
- But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
